HVÍTABJÖRNINN

4x4 Highland Bus - 37 seats

"Hvítabjörninn" (the polar bear) is like a legend by the buses in Iceland. The drivetrain was later changed out for 4x4 MB 1633 axles, gearboxes and motor.

The bus was used as a winter truck on the snowy and windy Snæfellsnes, and as a highland bus in sommer.

Boreal got the bus in 2021and has pretty much rebuild it for further use. But it has its old caracter and is still going strong, with just over 1 million km on tacco.

ÍSBJÖRNINN

4x4 Highland Bus - 44 seats

"Ísbjörninn" (the polar bear) has been through transformations. Jonckheere body mouned on a 2x4 1619 MB drivetrain, but it got soon 220hp and still later later 280hp motor.

2006 the body got a new life, mooved to a new 4x4 Scania P380 chassis and drivetrain, and with face lift.

Boreal got the truck 2025 with only ca. 270t. km on drivetrain, and is again in good condition.
