A Super Jeep Excursion
Small group, great experience.
On our way down South we will pass Hengill volcano, the greenhouse village Hveragerði, Eyjafjallajökull volcano and the cultivated Saga district in the South.
As we approach the volcanoes located some 120 km east of Reykjavík, the activity begins. We will drive at the roots of the southern slopes of Eyjafjallajökull, the glacier-covered volcano that erupted in 2010. We will also experience Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss, waterfalls falling some 60 m off former sea cliffs. Another gem this day is the Sólheimajökull outlet glacier, which flows from the Mýrdalsjökull icecap, as well as the rivers flowing down the black beach Skógasandur on their way to the Atlantic ocean.
Finally an opportunity to learn how to pronounce “Eyjafjallajökull"!
